[Nssbackup-team] [Bug 311429] Re: simple-backup-config.py crashed with NoOptionError in get()

2011-10-02 Thread Patrick Martin
Hi: I've moved onto JoliCloud which sits on top of 9.04, I understand,
and also Ubuntu 10.4.

Will update and re-test on those environments within the next week or
two, so we should have a good resolution before hitting expiry in 59
days.

Thanks, Patrick

* do you run sbackup as superuser (root) or as regular user?

* Do backups work in general for you?
as soon as I changed options to no compression, the problem disappeared, so it
seems to be a problem with compression.
* Do manual backups (started from Configuration GUI) work as expected?
The same problem
* How do you invoke the backup process?
Automatic weekly backup
* Did you tried to use the latest version of sbackup 0.11.4 from our PPA?
I use version from Ubuntu repositories.

[Nssbackup-team] [Bug 807787] Re: Incremental backup saves more files than needed

2011-10-02 Thread Rogach
Yes, I also encountered this problem with sbackup 0.11.4 and 0.11.3.
No, nothing special - simple ext4 filesystem. I backupped some directories in
/home and in /var/www, nothing else.
One thing I need to notice - all that files reside on SSD drive, maybe it's
characteristics can cause the bug?

Hello Anton,

I fully agree with you and there is already something in the pipeline to
handle such usecases. I've started to implement a more generic "filter"
function in order to display snapshots, since the calendar view is
indeed quite useless and inconvinient.

I'd be very happy if someone could help with the project, unfortunately

[Nssbackup-team] [Bug 808011] Re: Cannot send report by mail

2011-10-02 Thread Jean-Peer Lorenz
Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make sbackup better.

The bug you're encountering is already fixed in sbackup 0.11.4. Try to
install it from our PPA https://edge.launchpad.net/~nssbackup-
team/+archive/ppa.

The original bug report was:
LP: #588578 Email notification/reporting doesn't work with GMAIL:
test against string '1' rather number 1 when checking whether to use TLS

In order to fix this problem in Ubuntu 10.10 it is necessary to port
this patch to sbackup 0.11.3 which is included in the Ubuntu
repositories. Help is appreciated. Thanks.
