Last day of the season ay it?

Are you suggesting we'll be safe with games to spare?

Seriously, does anyone have a preference for dates late April, early May?

2010-03-21 Thread Marcus Chantry
Soon we'll have to start paying our 'goal' bonuses to our opposition
players when they score oggies. There's certainly got to to be a
current surplus of funds at Wolves as we haven't had to pay many bonuses
to our own players.

Must say I was very impressed with Villa. They looked threatening
everytime they got into our half but our players were resolute.

Ward's being found out and Zubar was skinned, he's so slow but does have a
little bit of something about him.

Now if we could just beat West Ham, I might start to believe.

RE: [NSWolves] Offside anybody? [sec=unclassified]

2010-03-21 Thread Paul Crowe
I think we should give Stearman a go at left back or switch Zubar to left
back (he seems left footed to me when you watch him play) and revert Foley
to right back. We can then bring in Milijas in the midfield.

Foley is a duck out of water in midfield, offers nothing as far as attack is
concerned and left back has been one of our Achilles heals all season. Big
George simply does not have it in my opinion.

That Carew is a pratt, my 2-1 inflamatory statement was looking good for a
long while!!

2010-03-21 Thread LEESE Matthew
I agree - play a recognised/career full back at left back as opposed to a
converted (shite) striker, and also, get our best right back playing at right
back. I'd go for Stearman or Zubar ahead of Elokobi.

I did laugh at the singing after Craddock scored:

There's only one Jody Craddock, one Jody Craddock
He used to be shite, but now he's alright
Walking in a Craddock wonderland

Bit of a poke at Mick's decision to send him off to Stoke?

But that'll take the pressure off Doyle and he'll start to overperform!

I hope the papers don't get focused on our Oggie stat. He might start to
under-perform if he gets some pressure.

Must say I was very impressed with Villa. They looked threatening everytime
they got into our half but our players were resolute.

Ward's being found out and Zubar was skinned, he's so slow but does have a
little bit of something about him.

Now if we could just beat West Ham, I might start to believe.

Was a cracking game. Thought we were going to edge it there for a while, but
I'll gladly take a point. I don't think I could fault anyone really. Even
the commentators were actually giving us some kudos for our grit. We've got
to go into West Ham with some confidence now.
