With the new release of Context, it looks like you have the same:
--ro=TEXMFMAIN
I've attached my type-tmf-gw.dat and the type-tmf-gw.log that
resulted from a run with:
sudo texfont --encoding=ec type-tmf-gw.dat
I did this by dropping type-tmf-gw.dat in ~/tmp/.
