Thank you!

It will take a while as

- then 5.3 needs to become stable
- we need to test implications of the new number system
- tests have shows it's a slightly slower

Maybe there's nothing to gain from a move to 5.3, apart from keeping up
with general Lua. If we make the switch it will first be tested quite a
while in production before it leaves beta.

OK.

Did you think about Ctx be able to use more Lua versions?

Similar like --jit forces LuaJIT instead of Lua;
--lua52 would force Lua 5.2 instead Lua 5.3+ once Lua 5.3+ is adopted into
Ctx core (and supposing Ctx won't use any Lua 5.3+ extras).

Best regards,

Sorry, it seems the issue appears only when used in footnote.
I joined a minimal example. You can see in the output that there is a space in
the text, but not in the footnote.

Re: [NTG-context] Strange behavior with Metapost

2014-05-28 Thread Fabrice

Hello,
Firstly, thank you for your reply. However, I would like some further
explanation please.
If I understand, but I'm not sure at all, calculating (xmax-xmin) / 10
gives the number of points to draw the curve. However, in my example,
xmax = 4 and xmin = -2, so (xmax-xmin) / 10 = 0.6. My question is : how
do you find the value in 1000 ?

unlikely ... i can think of more interesting things to do than spending
the free time i've left to coding for multiple lua dialects, so if we
move to 5.3 and i want to use its new features, 5.2 is no longer assumed
and supported (one thing i can think of is bitwise operators)

[NTG-context] wrong page break

2014-05-28 Thread Pablo Rodriguez
Hans,

I have found the another wrong page break in this sample:

\showframe\showgrid
\setupbodyfont[pagella,15pt]

\starttext

\chapter{Chapter title}

\section{Section title}

\dorecurse{140}{Sentence. }

\subsection{Subsection title}

This is another line.

\stoptext

It works fine when replacing \subsection with \section. And it also
fails when replacing \subsection with \subsubsection.

I guess it might be a bug.

Many thanks for your help,
