[NTG-context] Opportunity to include ConTeXt code into a LaTeXe environment
Hi @ all, I'm glad about the opportunities ConTeXt gives me to create Coverpages. Now that I have a working example of a coverpage my question is, if it is possible to include that ConTeXt-code into Latex to create a book. If yes, how is the procedure to do so. Dear Hans and Taco, This may be of general interest to the Europeans (and indirectly relates to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] email): I need the following: LATIN CAPITAL LETTER L WITH TILDE;004C 0303 LATIN SMALL LETTER L WITH TILDE;006C 0303 The proposal is still under consideration for lithuanian and not yet in unicode. In luatex can I make a definition such that such that the string U004C U0303 (l ̃) is always treated as l with tilde above, taking into account italics and without using \~l (which does not work in, eg, footnote)? [NTG-context] Luatex installation
I have read the instructions for installing luatex on MacOSX so clearly spelt out by Thomas Schmitz, but they leave a question open. Thomas advises to set TEXMFCACHE=/tmp with the argument that it then is cleared each time the computer is restarted. What is unclear to me if this means that on each restart some explicit reinitialzation has to be done or are the data in TEXMFCACHE suitable candidates for thrashing at all times? [NTG-context] Permission Policy
I ran into trouble with luatools --generate which does not seem to work with sudo luatools --generate The seem applies to texmfstart and friends. Why this manco? I want to keep my system as safe as possible especially regarding applications and stuff that takes a lot of time installing (like the texlive system). Therefore I have this in an administrator account (root:wheel). Cannot ConTeXt cope with such a scheme? All it has to do is honor sudo, apparently. AFAIU, luatools --generate only reads the relevant files from $TEXMF and writes details to $TEXMFCACHE. If all directories in $TEXMF are readable by normal user (should be) and $TEXMFCACHE is writable by normal user (should be), then you do not even need a sudo.
