[NTG-context] Overfull boxes in bibliography

2016-08-29 Thread Henri Menke
Dear list,

I noticed, that even though I set \version[temporary] to make overfull boxes
visible, they were not marked with an overfullrule in the bibliography. Below
you find a minimal example which reproduces the problem on TL 2016. First I
typeset the entry by hand where the black rectangle shows up in the margin,
then I format it automatically using \placelistofpublications where no box is
shown.

How can I have overfull boxes highlighted in the bibliography?

Many thanks, Henri

No, am using another commercial font (Fedra Serif B Pro) without math
support and \definefallbackfamily.
You last example was misleading because you tried to change the features
of the math font.

Does this work (untested)?

No.
This is what am using:

\definefontfeature[default][default][tnum=yes,lnum=yes]
\definefontfeature[mathdigits][default][mode=base,tnum=yes,lnum=yes]
\definefontfamily[mainface][serif][...]
\definefallbackfamily[mainface][math][...][preset=math:digitsnormal,features=mathdigits]

I can reproduce it with one of my fonts but have no solution for it.

After some research, i founded (in Wiki) that space after a comma can
be avoided using: \setupmathematics[autopunctuation=all]. Sorry for
that.

So, only left second question. This is about opentype features,
specifically tabular numbers in math mode. This issue (i think) is
related to the commercial font that am using, because it have some OT
features enabled by default (eg: onum=yes, tnum=no and lnum=no).

Do you use Minion Math?

Curious is that i can only set lnum and onum but not tnum in math.

Does this work (untested)?

\definefontfamily[inlinemath][mode=base,lnum=yes] % tnum=yes etc.

\definefontfamily[…][mm][…][tf=features:inlinemath]

BTW: You can list all features of a font with "mtxrun --script fonts
--list --info ".

Hello list,
I have another question for you, it is about diacritic's replacement
in math mode.

\definefontfamily[mainface][serif][Minion Pro]
\definefallbackfamily[mainface][math][Minion
Pro][tf=style:italic,preset=math:lowercaseitalic]
\definefallbackfamily[mainface][math][Minion
Pro][tf=style:italic,preset=math:uppercaseitalic]
\definefontfamily[mainface][math][Latin Modern Math]
\setupbodyfont[mainface]

\starttext
{\it Piña}\par
\m{Pi\tilde{n}a}\par
{\it Canción}\par
\m{Canci\acute{o}n}
\stoptext

As you can see, the accents are replaced with Latin Modern Math font.
So, how can i use accents from Minion Pro?

Use the \mathtext (ot \mathtextit, \mathtextbf etc.) command.

\definefontfamily [mainface] [rm] [Minion Pro]
\definefontfamily [mainface] [mm] [Latin Modern Math]

\setupbodyfont[mainface]

\starttext

{\it Piña}

\m{\mathtextit{Piña}}

{\it Canción}

Jose Luis Arellano
29. August 2016 um 00:45
Thanks Wolfgang,

For now, am using this work around to get italic in maths:

\definefallbackfamily[mainface][math][Minion
Pro][tf=style:italic,preset=math:lowercaseitalic]

I have another couple of questions:

1) I am using a font that have the feature onum enabled by default, so
how can i unset this feature for math (lnum,tnum)?
You have to create a font feature where you change the number style and
apply it with the features key.

\definefontfeature[mathdigits][default][mode=base,onum=no,lnum=yes]

\definefallbackfamily [...] [mm] [...]
[preset=math:digitsnormal,features=mathdigits]

2) Is there any way to use only some symbols like +, - from Minion
Pro in math mode?
You can select certain characters with the range key but you have to
know the unicode numbers.

\definefontfamily [mainface] [rm] [Minion Pro]
\definefallbackfamily [mainface] [mm] [Minion Pro] [range={0x002b,0x2212}]
\definefontfamily [mainface] [mm] [TeX Gyre Pagella Math]

\setupbodyfont[mainface]

\starttext
\m{12 + -3}
