[NTG-context] presentation in ConTeXt and XeTeX

2005-09-27 Thread 달영

Dear all,

I tested presentation mode with "pre-green" module and it worked fine.
I also tested the same file with the addition of few lines which set
my personal font script for XeTeX-ConTeXt.

\usetypescriptfile[type-xkor]
\usetypescript[myface]
\switchtobodyfont[Myface, 12pt, rm]

Save the file(utf-8) and compiled it and I got errors:

(/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/tex/context/base/type-akb.tex)
(/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.local/tex/context/base/type-xtx.tex)

I copied the demoTest file and try to compile it.
And I got a 'undefined control sequence.' message as follows. I
confirmed the existence of the file "s-pre-08.tex" in the ../context/
base/ folder.

Any help, please.

I have the same setup (TeX installation via Gerben's iinstaller).

You haven't by any chance called the file you are TeXing also s-
pre-22.tex?

This would explain it ---

Hi,
very interesting. But I'm having troubles. Probably because I'm
pretty new to this kind of stuff (I'm using ConTeXt very basically).

I made a demoTest.tex filestarting from s-pre-22.tex.
I copied the demo part of s-pre-22.

Here it is:

%D \module
%D [ file=s-pre-22,

\usemodule[s-pre-22]
%D The demo text.

\starttext
etc.

Now, I compiled but I obtained:

! Undefined control sequence.
l.9 \TitlePage
  {Indeed}{The Title Page}

What am I missing?

Thanks a lot

Hi, Jessica

The context/base has so many modules s-pre-**.tex. At
the end of the module you have the examples are given.
copy the examples in seperate file and add the module
no name from with the example was taken.

\usemodule[pre-**]
and compile the files. iam sure you can select your
flavour. you can also tweat the colors to suit your
requirement.

thanks

Is this something I should take care of upon install? Wht is this
pdftex.map shipping with ConTeXt? Can I just remove it before
repackaging?

I look into the file texmf.local/fonts/map/pdftex/context/pdftex.map
before removing. It is just an empty file.

I don't know why it is in there.

Dear Hans,

I reinstalled TeX, ConTeXt updates, and XeTeX, and add two map file
using updmap. Instead of uninstalling ConTeXt updates, I removed
pdftex.map in /fonts/map/pdftex/context/ folder.
After running texhash, pdflatex worked fine. It located font files
and no more mktexpk things.

I'll do the same thing in the another mac in school to double checking.

Thank you so much.

Regards,

Dalyoung

ther reason may be that there is a pdftex.map file in the context
path and the tds is not that robust for multiple instances of the
same file; make sure that there is no pdftex.map under fonts/map/*/
context/*

[NTG-context] Fwd: [OS X TeX] Re: a problem after reinstall TeX

2005-06-09 Thread 달영

Dear all,

I forwarded my mail to here because my font problem is related with
ConTeXt.

Dear all,
After upgrading to tiger, I reinstalled TeX using i-installer.(2005
develop - full)

I also reinstalled ConTeXt, XeTeX and crate formats for ConTeXt.

All of my private fonts and other style files are located in my
home directory, ~/Library/texmf/... Since there is no changes
of my private files, I only run updmap for my private fonts. After
this, I got a problem when compile a file to use truetype fonts. It
couldn't locate fonts and make pk files. the error messages as
following.

After reading Mr. Herbert Schultz's mail, I uninstalled ConTeXt
updates and re-configure TeX via i-installer, it worked fine. No more
mktexpk things.

(/usr/local/teTeX/share/texmf.tetex/tex/latex/amsfonts/ueuex.fd)
[2] (./crypto.aux)kpathsea: Running mktexpk --mfmode / --bdpi 600 --
mag 1 +57/600 --dpi 657 ounbtmb7

mktexpk: Running gsftopk ounbtmb7 657
gsftopk(k) version 1.19.2
gs: No such file or directory
gs terminated abnormally with status 1

Now, in this case, how to use ConTeXt? Is there a way to use it
without updating ConTeXt?

Thank you.

[NTG-context] presentation in ConTeXt

2005-03-30 Thread 달영
Hi all,
It is my first mail to this list.
I am using XeTeX and XeTeX + ConTeXt environment for my most files for
sometime. It worked fine and the output is really great.
I'd like to use it to create a presentation instead of using LaTeX +
beamer.
I have seen many output samples of the presentation styles like
s-pre-#.tex. But I didn't find how to use it in the ConTeXt manual.
Recently, I googled and found some files for presentation including
Hraban's source, but I didn't succeed.

I try to compile it in the pure ConTeXt environment,
texexec --pdf project_pdf-info.tex
and got some error messages.
.

.
Now I am using OS X 10.3.8 and Gerben's installation.
What should I do to remove this error?
Is there any place or samples to show "how to create presentation"?
I am sorry if it is too well known subject.
