I downloaded the CD iso image from a website
and installed Fedora Core 3.

Similarly, I downloaded texlive2004 CD from the
tug.org, and installed it according to the
instructions
in the CD. What is the name of the 'local guide' file?

Re: [NTG-context] Re: newbie question about fonts

2005-03-11 Thread Ciro A. Soto
Thank you Patrick...

I am my distributor maintainer.
I installed linux in my pc box less than a year ago,
and I see font files everywhere (X directory fonts,
TeX directory fonts, TrueType, OpenType, Type1,
etc...)
but don't know if they are accessible from Context.
what is the "local guide" you refer to?

Wouldn't it be nice to have a command in Context like:

\listavailablefonts [type1 | truetype | ... | all]

or

\listavailablefamilyfonts [] ...

and another to check whether a font is properly
installed (that is, whether it has \bf, \it,
\sc, math, etc), like:

\checkfont [fontname]

Luigi, thank you. I've read the outdated documents
you suggested, but still ...

Ciro
