Anyone know how many files are allowed to be in a directory?
I have a 46 GB directory, (it's a video server, all mpegs) that has
Exactly 100,000 files in it. Is this the max?
Can't find the answer on technet.

Add one more file. If you can't, it's the max.

I did that earlier, but I had to go. It takes 15 minutes
just to do a dir
on it, and doing a properties of it crashes explorer. :) I
just wanted a
quick answer. Guess I'll find out Tuesday...
Have a great Labor Day
