Never bothered really...Folder Redirection for user folders onto the
network seems to remove the need.
However laptop endpoints where the user has to save data locally used to be
a pestOffline Files was always a pain to get working so I can see why
some people actually backed these up. But
We don't have a centralized system. For those users that want to backup, they
can use Windows Backup, to an external drive. Not good if the building gets
hit by a train, but they have a warm fuzzy. This is mainly for our folks that
work in the field; wardens, biologists, etc.

Excellent point. We don't do roaming profiles here. I view them as evil as
Outlook cached mode, perhaps more so. :)
