the rest of the posts to see if the question's been answered already -
before they post their answer.

You're absolutely right and I think that the lack of bandwidth and/or
processing power of the list server is only contributing to the high volume
as a result (my last 2 posts took 3 hours), unless the delay is due to
moderation.
