Hi
Just starting to use nuke.
How do you colour correct a exr using the material ids?
In the material channel I have three colours.
Thanks

Are the three color the three channels (R, G, B)?

Hi
Just starting
shuffle the material id's to r g b if they aren't showing up as
choices in your mask setting in the Nodes you are using to color
correct. (you can also shuffle them to new channels but that
shouldn't have to happen.)
I can't imagine why the id channels wouldn't be selectable in the mask
channel
Hi Ron
Thanks for getting back
I did a shuffle on it and I can see Red, Green and Yellow.

fun. So in the channel menu are these id's listed? or is this exr
with RGB being used to control all the id's?

In the Grade node I can see the three Material ids R G B.
When I look at the Material id channel its Red Green Yellow. So when I try and
do anything the Red material id the yellow material id gets picked up as well.

Hi Damon,
For these types of ID passes I've been using a handy Gizmo from Nukepedia
called ID Select:

Heya,
Is there any way to keep the folders in Rotopaint closed/collapsed
when one starts to paint?
Every time I close all folders and start to paint again, all folders open
again.
thanks

There's also a neat material ID manipulation tool in J_Ops (if I do say so
myself ;) )

I'm trying a simple camera solve of an aerial shot with a slow move from left
to right and the solver is getting it backwards thinking the far away objects
are close and the close ones are far so the camera moves in the opposite
direction. Also it is ignoring many good track points. Any way to
well you can use the 2d trackers to make user tracks first. this is
in the docs on how to do that. Its pretty easy. That might help
some or a lot. :-)
