any internal gizmos in the copy? There was an bug that I think was fixed in 6.3v4 that caused a mega loop onCreate inside a gizmo we had. If the copy/paste freeze isn't happening with Nuke nodes but does with a custom gizmo (eliminating the randomness) there could be a

mine was just with Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v no gizmos but I cant remember if it was on the paste part or not. Sometimes also happened with the rightclick menu. Haven't tried the deselect suggestion but then it will be a while before I am back on windoze to test, thankfully.   Howard

[Nuke-users] Vectorgenerator in combination with warping/tracking possible?

2013-02-26 Thread Remco Consten
Hello All! I was wondering if anyone knows a way to make the vectors generated by a vectorgenerator drive an tracker or warper of a still image. We are currently doing some rig removals on a hairy animal. Because of the complex movement of the fur/hair we are having trouble tracking it on top.

Yes its possible, you'll need to accumulate all the frames in the vector displacement to get it to track from the reference frame. It does break quite easily tho, especially if you have turning/perspective changes that are severe. Pro-top : Render out multiple (I've used 8-10) vector files with

One way to do this: * Render out the motion vectors (maybe as 32-bit float EXR), read them back in * Use the TimeEcho mode set to plus, and set the frames to look at larger than the shot length * Use the output of the TimeEcho to drive an IDistort You don't technically need to render the

Thanks for your response. Could you please give me some more information how to combine it with the warpers/trackers. For example the gridwarper doesn't have a uv channel input as like the vectorblur does. Remco Consten 2013/2/26 theodor groeneboom plateryt...@gmail.com Yes its possible,

How about the IDistort? Should do the job, you might have to offset the vectors (for example with a grade) to make sure non-moving pixels have a value of 0 though. /Mikael -Ursprungligt Meddelande- From: Remco Consten [rcons...@gmail.com] Sent: 26/2/2013 11:52:26 AM

Yeah, sorry, that won't be possible I'm afraid. On the other hand, I just tried it on a different shot with the exact same render set up and everything and it seems to work fine there. So maybe there was just something wrong with that particular file. I'm a bit stretched for time with the
