I did mange to get it to export.
I installed the beta but it was still failing, but the tip of keeping both
the log file and the .nk allowed me to track down why it was failing. There
were a couple of clips that were referencing the wrong frame ranges.

Although bug 49241 was logged against non-commercial mode, it's very
possible that you are hitting the same underlying issue. If you get a
chance to try in 9.0v7b63, it would be great to know for sure. If it
still happens, we'll need to get a new bug logged.

I wasn't using non commercial mode when it was happening to me. I was having
the same error as Phillip when writing to prores (closed unexpectedly etc.)
however when writing to DPX I was getting something like this:
Render error in script: G:/*censored*/New_Seq_DPX/Sequence

Bug 49241 is now fixed in the latest beta (9.0v7b63), so I'd recommend
trying with that if you have access to it!

ended up exporting to a DPX sequence, which like your export got part of the
way, then failed. But when exporting to DPX the error message was much more
detailed.
