Re: [Nuke-users] copy/paste keys

2011-11-12 Thread Howard Jones
I did post something to do this and works in nearly all cases. I think its on
Nukepedia, if not it was posted to this list. This let#39;s you copy paste
further down time wise with the same parameter.

I didn#39;t get a way working to go between different parameters though.

Another workaround is to move the keys first, copy, move back and paste

Try nukepedia anyway see if I did post it. Not able to check myself at the
moment.

Hi,
I trying to write some python that will copy a selected node and link all its
values to the original. I'm struggling to get off the ground with this one and
could do with some pointing towards the right direction.

I was thinking of using writeKnobs() and amending the result but it outputs a
tcl list which I'm struggling to work with.

anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

2011-11-12 Thread Rob

Hi Remco,

Inside Nuke I dont get a great deal of speed from the read nodes. Its
like 2-2.63fps while caching up a 4k plate and High decode through an
r3d and I get 16fps from a 2k dpx. Also launching applications and
working in general feels very fast but can slowdown overtime and with
larger scripts.

Rob

Hi Rob,

i'm currently working with 5K (4K) red footage as well. No ssd.. And i
wonder what the average framerate you get on playback with that ssd disks.

just curious

Thanks Ross.
How much would you vary the shutter or sample settings? A little? A lot? Or
take the frames from diff renders and combine them?

Thanks.

I have had luck with multiple exports with ever so slightly different samples

2011-11-12 Thread Randy Little
you can tweak the vector detail (block size) as well. Changing the
shutter is basically using motion blur to hide it so you want to tweak
that as little as possible if you go that route as it will affect the
motion blur throughout the shot. (animate to the frames that are bad)
I don't remember all the settings in oflow but block size and number
of vectors and adding motion blur are the quick steps before you start
painting. all the settings are dependent on why you got the noise so
it can be adding more vectors or using less you just have to tweak and
see what happens.

I would try to tweak them as little as possible, even if that means no change,
just a re-render. Some artifacts will not make it through the re-render, or
will appear on different frames. IF they do, then I would try .00x tiny changes.

Thanks, Randy. I'll experiment some more. I've painted the errant frames using
the original plate, and the shot was accepted. But I'll go back and experiment
to see what I get.

Thanks again, everyone.
