The Ulster County segment of the annual NYSOA New York State January
Waterfowl Count was conducted this past Saturday, 13 January 2018. As
noted in previous posts, most of the Hudson River was covered in ice and
largely devoid of waterfowl. Kingston Point produced twenty Mallards
and eight Am
King Eider is by the tip of the second to last Western Jetty just as specified
by Colleen this a.m...showing well!!

I followed up on the Feustel's report of iceland gulls off the west jetty
at Lake Montauk and they were still present as of yesterday afternoon.
There was another iceland gull (first winter) at Accabonac Harbor today,
along with hundreds of long-tailed ducks, and several lesser scaup, common
golden
Male King Eider continues at the 2nd western most jetty at point lookout.
