Joe Giunta and I (Sy Schiff) stopped to view the Shot Beach bar at Jones west end on our way east. Five minutes after we arrived a large group of AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHERS joined the ones on the bar bringing with them a MARBLED GOTWIT. Nice. The good ones usually fly off, not fly in. Other

Spent yesterday evening and this morning looking for Connecticut Warbler with no luck. Plenty of Common Yellowthroats and Ovenbirds and N Waterthrushes but never the betwixt. However in the farthest southeast of the lawn I got a couple of glimpses of what I believe is a Sora. Poor light and

I saw *1 Forester's Tern* yesterday at LaSalle Park - the bird was in the company of 1 Common Tern. I understand that other's saw 2 of this species at Hamburg Town Park about 10 miles south of Buffalo yesterday as well. While our friends on the coast see these birds regularly, it's a treat to get
