sighting of Gyrfalcon yet.

Hi all,
At sunrise today Rich Fried and I were on the dock at Cedar Beach Marina
with hopes to see the Gyrfalcon that was found on Wednesday and seen
yesterday morning. After a couple of hours and with 3 other birders also
looking for it we decided to go and check other locations.
When we arrived
David Burg and I scoured the area around Blue Chip Farm & the Shawangunk
Grasslands in Wallkill for the Gyrfalcon today from about 9-1. We did not
locate the bird; however, we also noted a surprising absence of other birders,
only encountering 2 or 3, so it's entirely possible the bird was hidi

Cedar Beach Marina is not accessible - the gate is closed and it is not plowed.
A scan from Gilgo did not turn up the Gyr.

No luck went to point lookout 1 red necked-grebe & 3 harlequin ducks
by the rocks

There were lots of people looking for the Gyrfalcon at Gilgo today but no
one that I met had a confirmed sighting. At one point we saw three large,
