The White Pelican was not seen today, as far as I know. The 2 Avocets were
present around the Raunt for some time during the early to mid-afternoon,
being easily visible from the East Pond overlook (when not behind geese or
other large birds). They eventually took off toward the north end. The

I am here in the East Pond and the Avocet is here. It is further south (in the
middle of the pond). I have not seen the Godwit, very few shorebirds today.

The north end of the east pond was virtually shorebird-less, and the strong
winds and a Peregrine didn't help. Just 2 Greater Yellowlegs in the NE corner,
and a Least along the phrags. There were 2 Caspian Terns with the gulls by the
cove.
The south end was better, with 3 juvenile Stilt Sandpip
Folks should also know that the bird flew off shortly after and has not
returned to my knowledge.

A Wilson's Phalarope is in northwest corner of east pond now, next to a
Stilt Sandpiper.

As posted earlier, 1 Hudsonian Godwit flew in around 3:30. The bird stayed but
began to move frequently as time went on and it eventually flew North and out
of sight at 6:02. Other birds such as the Baird's Sandpipers, Western
Sandpipers, White-rumped Sandpipers, and Stilt Sandpipers were still
