If anyone happens to see snow buntings today near Jones Beach and Point Lookout
can you let me know because we are getting ready to head back to DC and I
dipped on them yesterday. May try one more time on the way out of town!

My wife Betsy and I saw two Snow Buntings on the ground at Lazy Point,
Napeague. It was the earliest ever ( by one day) for me.

the horned lark flock, reported yesterday, was found this morning at 11
in Mattituck in the sod field on the southeast corner of Oregon Road and
Depot Road. There were many snow buntings in the flock but the lapland
longspurs could not be found. Be advised viewing conditions were
difficult

I came across an enormous flock of SNOW BUNTINGS on River Road (Co. Rt 61)
just north of the Village of Coxsackie, Greene County. Getting a number on
the size of this swarm was difficult because they were so flighty. But I'd
put a conservative estimate at around 600. They just kept flowing onto

waterfowl numbers building up - had 3 Ring-necked Ducks, 2 Pied-billed
Grebes and 5 American Coot at Ice House Pond in Montauk and a couple of
Green-winged Teal at Teddy Roosevely County Park. White-winged Scoter are
building up
