On my early morning hike today at Sunken Meadow State Park I came across a few
early spring migrants. Highlights are below.
15+Wood duck- backwater of Sunken Meadow Creek
5 Bufflehead
2 Osprey
1 Great-horned Owl- flushed along Inner Marsh trail
2 Belted Kingfishers
2 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker

I ventured to Sunken Meadow State Park today since yesterday I dipped on the
arrival of the Ospreys. Well today I was lucky enough to spot four individuals
along Sunken Meadow Creek. Also new from yesterday was several dozen Tree
Swallows gliding above the Inner Marsh, 2 Turkey Vulture flyover
