Joe Giunta and I (Sy Schiff) went looking for early migrants. Till now, things
have been lackluster. Even the vegetation is late with red maples just stating
to bud. There was some migrant movement into the park in the last day or so
with 4 Wood Ducks, Tree Swallows,
I missed it Wednesday afternoon and kept scoping the large flock of Scaup on
Thursday. About mid-morning I was surprised to see a Snow Goose within the
loose flock of Scaup, especially after I must have scoped it over 100 times.
