Hi all,
This morning, I checked the West End of Jones Beach, focusing on the Coast
Guard Station and Median. There was a good variety of songbirds, including
my first Golden-crowned Kinglets and Dark-eyed Junco of the fall. The
highlight though, was a single *Summer Tanager *that briefly appeared

OBS: Robert DeCandido, m.ob. on bird walk starting from Strawberry Fields at
9am & pre-walk birding at Strawberry Fields.
Highlights: Philadelphia Vireo, Gray-cheeked Thrush, Bay-breasted Warbler &
First-of-season Golden-crowned Kinglet in Strawberry
For the New York County (Boro of Manhattan) wiki pages I've determined the
Top 12 locations by species # and have kept the dynamic character for these
location pages. These include color highlighting based on the # of spp. as
shown on eBird maps, total # of spp. on the bar charts and a 'Notable
Good movement overnight, with an influx of later-season migrants this morning.
On my twice-weekly Bryant Park walk (free, Mondays 8-9am & Thursdays 5-6pm) we
spotted some nice diversity in an hour, mostly around the central lawn area. I
