Three times a charm. On my third trip gulling at the water pollution
control plant at Owl's Head Park I finally located the Black-headed
Gull. Heydi Lopes and I had good looks of the bird between 2:00 -
2:30pm as it perched on the pipes above, what appears to be, channels
of treated water.
Dick Cartwright observed a group of about 50 swallows while driving on Ocean
Parkway 2 miles west of Cedar Beach; some of these were tree swallows. He saw
the group at 9:30am and 1:30pm today.

Interestingly, Dick Ferren had two Whistling Swans fly past his seawatch at
Block Island's Southeast Light yesterday, during the middle of the day (not far
around the corner from the Beach Head). There must be at least six birds
involved.

Interestingly, there were four TUNDRA SWANS off Block Island on the 13th.
According to the Rhode Island RBA, they were seen just off the beach in
front of the Beach Head Restraunt. I wonder if these are the same birds
