finished at Cupsogue Co. Pk. At each park, Tom got a life bird and a FOS, and

Steve D'Amato and I stopped at the Robert Moses office today to inquire
about Field 5 access for hawkwatchers, we were told Field 5 will open
tomorrow at 12 noon. I guess they wanted to be open for Labor Day weekend.

Vicki Bustamante called this morning to say that the Lake Montauk BROWN
PELICAN was sitting on the west side of the east jetty.
In addition, Willy Becker called about noon to say that he had just seen an
AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN flying over Two Mile Hollow Beach in East Hampton.
