Bridge in Suffolk County. Not much else of note but several hundred shorebirds.

Just a quick trip out to Woodlawn and Times Beach for shorebirds. The best
area for shorebirds at Woodlawn is between the area where the creeks feed
into Lake Erie and the wind turbines.

Traveling with Emily Peyton on Saturday, we had 10 or more Giant
Swallowtails in the Harlem Valley (East-central Dutchess County) & NW CT.
One fresh and two semi-worn individuals were at Nellie Hill Preserve in
Dover Plains (on Bee Balm [Monarda]in bright flower), the rest were seen at
a private r
A tour of Pelham Bay Park with Joanne and Steve, on Saturday afternoon, turned
up a Least Flycatcher, Black and white warbler, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, many
Osprey and the following birds:
American Goldfinch
Ruby throated hummingbird
Song sparrow
Swamp sparrow
Marsh wren
Immature night heron
Whit
The American Avocet continues on the East Pond at the North End. Feeding just
before "Dead Man's Cove".
