Apologies for this belated report.
Yesterday afternoon (11/18), while searching the central Suffolk ponds
for migrant waterfowl, I came across 3 Eurasian Wigeons on Mill Pond
in Sayville. Two were adult males, both near full breeding plumage.
The third individual was quite interesting and

In preparation for my birding tomorrow I checked SINaturaList (yahoo group)
to see if the Cave Swallows we still being seen and found positive reports.
I thought this might be of interested to a wider audience, so I'm
forwarding the messages here below:

At 2:30 there were ~60 American Pipits foraging the sod field right near the
"Star Gazer" red male deer monument on Rt 111. Good views from the shoulder of
111 northbound.

Eric Miller just reported that the Virginia's Warbler continues at
Alley Pond Park in Queens.
Seen at 2:15 p.m. on the north side of the kettle hole, that is
closest to 73rd Avenue. The area is within ear shot of a new home
construction.
