This afternoon ~ 4PM, after a little banking business, I took a quick ride
through some of the fields found in n/e Riverhead Township, driving as far as
Iron Pier Beach, Northville. My 1st stop proved to be the most productive, in
fact, except for (2) mid-sized flocks of solely Canada Geese,
On MLK day, I received a text message from a fellow birder at 9:00 am who was
viewing a Northern Saw-whet owl at Greenwich Point Park in the Holly Groves
there. He happens to like owls very much. So today, after work I decided to go

We spent a frigid morning birding at Southard's Pond in Babylon Village. Upon
first arrival we noted that the pond was mostly frozen, with only a a small
