This afternoon at 1:35pm Bob and I saw an Ash-throated Flycatcher perched above
the fence along the eastern edge of the landfill,where there's a big clump of
bittersweet.The footpath we wer

The Ash-throated Flycatcher noted by A. Drogin in the west village area,
specifically near the Westbeth building, on Saturday, Dec. 2nd was also seen by
at least several others after the alerts were put out, thanks also to R.
Zucker. The flycatcher was also seen near West
Ash-throated Flycatcher continues at Owl's Head Park of Brooklyn.

Just viewed it on the North Side of the median, just West of the paved back
path from the Coast Guard Station. Viewed for about 10 minutes, flying from the
ground to the light displays. It then flew across to the South side of the
median and East of the path.

Just confirmed the Ash-throated Flycatcher at the Dell Water. It was
flycatching on the side of the pond where there are 3 in hill mausoleums. It
then flew to the opposite side by the bee hives.

Several observers looking this morning for the Manhattan Ash-throated
Flycatcher have so far failed to find the bird. In addition to looking
around the soccer fields in Fort Washington Park where it was seen
yesterday, two of us walked south to West Harlem Piers Park at W 125th

Is it possible the same one we saw last week at Shore Road Park?
We saw it in the section near Verrazano bridge, exactly across the water from
where it is being seen now.

inland to two pines beyond red storage hut adjacent to last large gravel
parking lot.

The bird was there today moving along the fence and going deeper in the
vegetation at times. Even as far as the neighboring houses.Also, the gates to
the parking lot were closed today, so birders had to park in the nearby areas
and walk to the parking lot.

I got a "late" start today, arriving at Jones Beach at around 9:20. Highlights
included continuing flocks of gannets on the move, a Fox Sparrow, and some
raptor activity. Hempstead Lake hosted a cooperative late Blue-headed Vireo,
which I closely examined to rule out the possibility of similar l

Monday morning, 30 November, 2009 - Queens County, New York City
The Ash-throated Flycatcher first found by Rudy Badia of NYC was still
present on the 9th day after its discovery, at the same location in
Queens off N. Conduit Ave. & Cohancy Street in the Howard Beach area,
very near the sit

afternoon (11/27) around 3:05 pm.
I was shown the bird by another birder whose name I never learned. He had
evidently seen the bird in the same spot about 20 minutes earlier, then it had

Hi all, just reporting that I observed the Ash-throated Flycatcher late this
afternoon, from 3:50 pm to 4:15 pm at Cohancy St. location. I got there around
3:30 but did not see the bird until it flew into the lot from a different
location. alighting first in the tree beside the pink building, a
Mathew Rymkiewicz just called saying that the Ash-throated Flycatcher is
being seen as of 10 am on Cohancy St. in the lot between the red brick
building and the pink building. It was in the back of the field on the chain

fence.
