Not a bird sighting but right along the shoreline between Scarborough and Phillipse Manor stations a river otter was gliding southwards just now. Too foggy to see from train if any birds flying up river. Those riding Hudson line lookout. L. Trachtenberg Ossining. Sent from my iPhone --

It's 70 degrees in November (wtf). So not surprisingly no waterfowl on the Hudson other than some mallards and ubiquitous Canada Geese between Ossining and Spuyten Dival. Did see 4 GB Herons on ride down; osprey seem gone. "The desert's quiet and Cleveland's cold, so the story ends I'm told."*
