Overcast, raw morning. Out in the channel, there was an interesting mix this
morning. COMMON LOON, RED-THROATED LOON, RED-NECKED GREBE, COMMON GOLDENEYE and
GREATER SCAUP. On the marsh, a BELTED KINGFISHER and GREAT BLUE HERON. A bit
of sun when I left.

A slow day at the Marine Nature Study Area. One Great Blue Heron flew by, no
Egrets or other birds in the marsh. Two small birds feeding together in the
dunes turned out to be a Ruby-crowned Kinglet and an Orange-crowned Warbler.
Other birds included a single Palm Warbler, 2 American Robins

Stopped by MNSA, Oceanside after the fog began to lift. A calling CLAPPER RAIL
came out into a ditch and gave us a show.
Baldwin Park has several lighted Baseball fields. One light bank by the soccer

While on the Marine Nature Study Area's Hawkwatch during the 4-5hr a 2nd
year (Sibley) Magnificent Frigatebird was seen at 4:15p flying west to
east towards Jones Inlet. The winds at our location were SW to S all
day. The bird flew over our location with its characteristic black
narrow wings, and
