Hi all,
Francisco Rodriguez saw and photographed a Mountain Bluebird on Cedar
Beach (Suffolk County) by the overlook today. He posted as a drab
Eastern Bluebird on Twitter (X) and based on his photo I identified
the bird as a rufous-type Mountain Bluebird. He will add many photos
to eBird soon.
The Mountain Bluebird is still around at Esopus Meadows Preserve, moving
between the pines across River Rd and in the parking lot with a few Easterns.
