I have not actually confirmed this - but an 90% certain there is a Ravens nest
atop a cell tower structure in Patchogue village. The best spot to view the
nest is from the front of the Knights of Columbus building at the intersection
of Edwards St and Bailey Ave (south of Montauk highway).

I was told about ravens nesting along the North County Trailway just south of

I was surprised to observe a pair of common ravens at the Babylon train station
this morning. One bird vocalized in a decidedly non-crow like way, which
initially drew my attention, as crows are frequent there. Both birds perched
atop a high telephone pole before heading west over the RR tracks.

Hello Rich,
When I used to drive Long Island often in a big rig all thru 2011, I reported
seeing 1 Common Raven usually at the southern end but twice on the northern end
of the Tappen Zee bridge.
Once at the sign announcing White Plains Westchester county. :)

At noon, on Tuesday, March 13, I watched a C. Raven fly up from a downtown

but in addition, the bird was carrying a big bit of food (looked like a

Dear NY Birders,
A pair of Ravens has apparently brought off a clutch in Hampton Bays
