All of the birds on the north end of the pond flushed at around 4:45. I was not able to refind the bird but I am sure it is still here. Andrew first had the bird on the south end of the pond so you need to check everywhere. The numbers of Stilt Sandpipers is up by a lot saw 20+ birds

When I left the East Pond, Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge at 7:45pm, the Ruff was still feeding on the eastern side at the North End, south of "Dead Man's Cove". You can see a roof through the trees on the east side in this area, and if you moved your eyes all the way down, there was the Ruff! For

The second Ruff that was discovered this morning has not been seen for well over an hour. Last observed with Tom Burke, Gail Benson and Doug Futumya on the Southend of the East Pond. We think it could have flown off the pond...perhaps into the bay. The initial Ruff from Sunday is still on
