The Barnacle Goose found yesterday by Orlando Hidalgo on Larchmont Reservoir
(Sheldrake Lake) was seen at 9:30 AM today from the dam (between the pond and
the lake. This is most likely the same bird that disappeared from nearby Van
Cortlandt Park in January. Directions to Larchmont Reservoir

favorable conditions, and made an early push north on the recent south winds
and mild weather? Needless to say, and incredible winter record for New York!

Jeff Bolsinger just called to report a female-plumaged Smew at Lisbon Beach on
the St. Lawrence River, about eight miles east of Ogdensburg, NY. This is a
continental mega-rarity!
