I have successfully repaired, on the side of the road, a tire cut by glass by inserting a boot made from an old tire. The boot is essentially an inch-long section of tire that I keep in my saddle bag for just such purposes. It's the simplest method I know of; no glue is required. I rode on

Too late - I learned that lesson the hard way - it caused me three flats in all the same spot before I finally detected a tiny sliver of metal wire. I had to use a pair of needlenose pliers to fish it out of my tire. -Rod Alan wrote: Just my .02 cents: Make sure you check for the obvious -
