we should become fast as possible an installer
with an online-rpm-installer like it was on Mandrake and Mandriva
and with it had MDK/MDV in the past the highest success .
Also For more and better fastest testing the rpm's and the dependencies ,
Yes, though I don't know if that fits what the Calamares developer is
talking about. It may be that this leads to users being able to
add/remove individual packages. If it could also do package groups
though I think that could be useful.
Don't think this should be a high priority for OMA.

Also would perhaps be better for installs for servers or others where
very basic system is desired.
