They are also member of TSC and I guess they should also be qualified as voting

Are you missing it or there’s some particular reason?

[onap-discuss] How to #install #policy #drools #drools-applications controller in #production environment #kubernetes

2018-08-31 Thread Samuli Silvius
Hi,

I'm working on Beijing branch of ONAP and looking for a method to install
policy controllers in kubernetes (production environment).

Policy project has this
https://onap.readthedocs.io/en/beijing/submodules/policy/engine.git/docs/pla
tform/installBeijingController.html as an official documentation for
installing e.g. Beijing controller.

Modifying running containers is not very sustainable solution as whenever
container is created again from image (which happens easily in Kunernetes
environment) all changes are lost.

Is there a designed way in Kubernetes to do policy controller installation
e.g. with some volume mount and install automated at startup? Or should we
create own drools image to bundle controller ready installed?

Br

Re: [onap-discuss] [aaf] Any prerequisites before deploying AAF using OOM

2018-08-31 Thread mickael . jezequel
I had the same problem and I have finally found the root cause.

in short, some configuration files are missing because something go wrong
during AAF initialization.
In my case, the failure is  caused by a "git clone" command  which failed
because a  corporate proxy  blocked the git request.

here are some details :
when AAF starts, the aaf-create-config job is executed which starts the
aaf-create-config pod which runs aaf-inject-config init container
In this container, the following commands are executed (cf.
https://git.onap.org/oom/tree/kubernetes/aaf/templates/job.yaml?h=beijing) :

 git clone -b 2.0.0-ONAP --single-branch http://gerrit.onap.org/r/aaf/authz.git
/tmp/gerrit

cp -rf /tmp/gerrit/auth/sample/public/* /public and /public is then mounted as
a persistent volume which is later used by other AAF pods such as aaf_cm.

When the initialization goes wrong, aaf_cm crashes because the file
/opt/app/osaaf/public/AAF_RootCA.cer  is missing (I don't know why, but in that
case a directory is created )
hope this helps

Mickael

Re: [onap-discuss] [SDNC] sdnc/oam: removing and purging files from git history

2018-08-31 Thread Alexis de Talhouet
James,

Thanks for providing the history, I wasn’t aware, but glad to see this has
bothered people already in the past.

Instead of granting us the permission, maybe they could do it themselves with
PTL acknowledgement.
Could this be something LF would accept?

Thanks,
Alexis

2018-08-31 Thread James MacNider
Hi Alexis,

Dan and I looked into this a while back as well, see
https://jira.onap.org/browse/SDNC-29. It reached a dead end because the LF
would not grant the permissions required to clean up the history of the repo.
The suggested alternative is to do shallow clones ( use “ –depth=1” ) when
cloning this repository.

Not ideal, I agree.

Greetings,

The sdnc/oam project has some large deleted filed remaining in its git
repository, making the git clone pretty long, as almost 1GB has to be transfer.

I found through this website a way to get rid of that:
https://blog.ostermiller.org/git-remove-from-history

So locally I’ve done the following, the main culprit are the two odl distro:

$ git rev-list --objects --all | git cat-file --batch-check='%(objecttype)
%(objectname) %(objectsize) %(rest)' | sed -n 's/^blob //p' | sort
--numeric-sort --key=2 | cut -c 1-12,41-

SHASIZE   FILE NAME
e3c6abcc979f 295660449
installation/sdnc/src/main/resources/distribution-karaf-0.4.2-Beryllium-SR2.tar.gz
b6c13a8f784e 424102999
installation/sdnc/src/main/resources/distribution-karaf-0.5.1-Boron-SR1.tar.gz

$ git filter-branch --tag-name-filter cat --index-filter 'git rm -r --cached
--ignore-unmatch
installation/sdnc/src/main/resources/distribution-karaf-0.4.2-Beryllium-SR2.tar.gz'
 --prune-empty -f -- --all
$ git filter-branch --tag-name-filter cat --index-filter 'git rm -r --cached
--ignore-unmatch
installation/sdnc/src/main/resources/distribution-karaf-0.5.1-Boron-SR1.tar.gz'
--prune-empty -f -- —all

$ rm -rf .git/refs/original/
$ git reflog expire --expire=now --all
$ git gc --aggressive --prune=now

I have submitted https://gerrit.onap.org/r/#/c/63805/ to get rid of the first
one.

But the second one was already removed, but still remain somewhere as an object
in the git repository.

Is it possible for the gerrit administrator to run some clean-up command in the
git repo to get rid of objects that were deleted?

Regards,
Alexis

Re: [onap-discuss] [DMAAP] description of dmaap properties

2018-08-31 Thread Pavel Paroulek

Hi Sunil,

great job! I am happy to report that the random exceptions
(classnotfound, nullpointer ..) are gone.

There is yet another issue:

When I set TransportType=HTTPAUTH it says:
*java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: password is needed*

Although password is properly configured. You can try it in your test
app. The problem is the following code:

 authDate = props.getProperty("authDate");
 if (authDate == null || authDate.isEmpty()) {
   throw new IllegalArgumentException("password is needed");
 }

Please *could you explain* what is the difference between

username + password

and

authKey + authDate

when I set TransportType to HTTPAUTH

???

Thanks,
Pavel

Please use “GET” as value for the MethodType.

DME2 is another transport type. Currently DMaaP is not using
the DME2 transport type.  All the properties that I said  not
required are related to DME2.

Thanks,

Sunil

properties

Hi Sunil,

thank you for your answer.

When I use a simplified property file:

TransportType=HTTPNOAUTH
Protocol=http
username=admin
password=admin
contenttype=application/json
host=127.0.0.1
topic=EVENT
group=consumer1
id=dev
timeout=15000
limit=1000
sessionstickinessrequired=no

I get the following exception: IllegalArgumentException:
*MethodType is needed*

ok so I add this "MethodType" whatever it may be and set it to
the value GET because all the cool kids in the hood set it to GET!

I run my app again and I get a *java.lang.NullPointerException*

I do a bit of software archaeology and I find the following
code in the dmaap client:

/routeFilePath =
props.getProperty("*DME2preferredRouterFilePath*");
routeReader = new FileReader(new File(routeFilePath));
File fo = new File(routeFilePath); // the NPE happens here/

But what is DME2 and what should be the right value for

Hi,Seb,

Thank you for your quick response. Could you point me to the how-to of
attaching a
blueprint to a VF in SDC?

BTW, you meant the blueprint for each of the DCAE component to be manually
created first, right?

Is there an example of a complete CL blueprint?

Thanks a lot.

Hi,
Unless I’m mistaken, you can’t, as DCAE-ds is not part of the Beijing release.
I’m not even sure it will be delivered in Casablanca
You have to create manually the blueprint and attach it to a VF in SDC, then
deploy it

Anybody knows how to enable DCAE-DS plugin in SDC at the portal in Beijing
Release? Or, point me to the right documents or demo?

Has anyone really use DCAE-DS to create CL blueprint for CLAMP in R2?

Thanks a lot!

[onap-discuss] #sdc #oom Workflow Designer in SDC

2018-08-31 Thread Andreas Geissler
Hi,

I use the latest OOM based ONAP installation and try to start the Workflow
designer in SDC.

With the OOM UserGuide Instructions hosts settings it does not work:

10.12. 6.155 portal. api. simpledemo. onap. org 10.12. 6.155 vid. api.
simpledemo. onap. org 10.12. 6.155 sdc. api. fe. simpledemo. onap. org 10.12.
6.155 portal - sdk. simpledemo. onap. org 10.12. 6.155 policy. api. simpledemo.
onap. org 10.12. 6.155 aai. api. sparky. simpledemo. onap. org 10.12. 6.155
cli. api. simpledemo. onap. org 10.12. 6.155 msb. api. discovery. simpledemo.
onap. org

By adding the following address, it works:

 sdc. workflow.plugin. simpledemo. onap. org

If this is the wanted behaviour, the OOM User Guide needs to be updated,
otherwise the Workflow Plugin needs to be changed.

Best regards
Andreas
