Greetings Michael,

Not so weird actually. CLM == Component Lifecycle Management (or
Manager) which is the previous name of Nexus IQ. Unfortunately Sonatype decided
to rebrand it and confuse the name "nexus" with both the artifact storage
system and the scanning tool. We've never updated things to use a newer name
because of that muddiness, but it does start making people ask "What does CLM
stand for?" ;)

I am not aware of such document, I know integration team did that. Adding Gary.
You do not need to change the yaml file.
You can provide parameter to helm install/upgrade "--set
global.repository=mynexus3.example.com:12345" that will override the default
docker image registry (nexus3.onap.org:10001).

You can set a local nexus3 server that would proxy and cache the images.

Adding #dmaap to Subject

I am also interested in this answer since apps need to define a Role which will
be granted perm to pub/sub on a specific DMaaP MR topic.
I am currently assuming that the topic perm creation and grant steps will be
done by Buscontroller as a result of calls to its API at deployment time.
But, need to understand what is done in “seed scripts” first.

What is your recommendation for seeding application permissions and assigning

role create org.onap.aai.resources_readonly

Hi Amy,

VID front-end supports HTTPS (right in the browser).

In the back-end, we support HTTPS communication to A, and also to Portal if
it's OOM deployment of ONAP.
Communication to SO and SDC is still works with HTTP though, due to lack of
HTTPS support from these components.

Hi Amy,

Here below more details on the secure communication on CLAMP, the reason behind
my original "No" answer:
CLAMP UI itself is https and communication between frontend and backend is
secured. but

  * SDC communication is http and so not secure (sdc doesn't support AAF and
has not exposed a secure API till now), similar to Policy we use the sdc client
so it will be up to SDC team to provide us a secured client.
  * Call from CLAMP to DCAE inventory API is http so not secure(DCAE is not
integrated with AAF and has not exposed this API in https). Other DCAE API,
used by CLAMP for deployment triggering, are https and so are secured.
  *   Policy calls are secured.

Martial

Correction - the policy distribution application has 2 endpoints. One for
HealthCheck that will need https, and the other I mentioned is the SDC Client
SDK that will need to support https.

Amy - the policy distribution application uses the SDC Client SDK for http
communication via dmaap. It will be up to that project to support https, not
policy project.

Our other component is not MVP to this release and will have https for Dublin.

Re: [onap-discuss] DCAE and DMaaP Bus Controller db pods (dcae-db-0 dbc-pg-0 ) are not running #dmaap #dcaegen2

2018-12-07 Thread Dominic Lunanuova
This symptom is reminiscent of some errors we saw when
OOM-1178 was first delivered.
i.e. we experienced some name conflicts between different components using
common postgres chart
But that was in early Casablanca, not Beijing.
Do you also see dbpool pods? (those were introduced in the mentioned Jira, and
would clarify what versions are really being run)

Otherwise, I don’t recall this ever being reported in Beijing.

Re: "DMD"
As far as I know, the DMD service is not included in DMaaP Message Router in
ONAP.
This reference is likely left in by accident due to pasting from an internal
AT doc.
(Sunil can confirm)

...and it definitely does not apply to DMaaP Data Router.

Hi Prakash,

DMaaP DR was added to OOM on 2018-08-29. (Cassablanca)

Use the latest OOM revision.

Hi Team,
Good Day!
  Kindly clarify me below.
  1. I could see DMD and DMC in the architecture but i don't see it in the
GIT/onap or in the OOM running setup

Subject: [onap-discuss] [DMAAP] Kafka

Hello Team,
As i could see a demo video on MR but i just want to know how DR works
internally and looking for more documentation. Let me know where i can find.
[dgl: see
https://onap.readthedocs.io/en/latest/submodules/dmaap/datarouter.git/docs/index.html]
Also kindly clarify me on the below

1. Is kafka used in DR as well?

[dgl: No kafka in DR. DR uses local file system to store client date until its
delivered. It also uses mariadb to store provisioning data]

2. What is the exact use of DMD and Bus Controller? Need an example use case.

[dgl: example use cases for Bus Controller:

a) Application X publishes to DR and creates Feed X via Bus Controller /feeds
API. Analytic Function AF can subscribe to Feed X via Bus Controller /dr_subs
API. Bus Controller provisions DR accordingly.

b) Designer specifies authenticated topic T. Topic is provisioned using Bus
Controller /topics API. Application P can add itself as a publisher to topic T
using the Bus Controller /mr_clients API. Application S can add itself as a
subscriber to topic T using the same API. Bus Controller will create the topic
T on MR, and also create and grant the AAF perms associated with the client
actions.

3. Is it possible to replace other models instead of kafka in MR and use it?
[Sunil?]

4. Which component of DMAAP does the Data translation and API translation?

[dgl: no DMaaP component does data translation at this time. The DR team is
considering a feature in Dublin that will offer some degree of provisioning
coordination for a registered data translation service (e.g. reformat a data
file). Please provide more info on a use case you have in mind.

Re: [onap-discuss] DMAAP - Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect

2018-11-26 Thread Dominic Lunanuova
Harry,
I think the SSL cert in 1.0.12 has expired.
Try using 1.0.13. There was a fix which seemed to address this
(https://gerrit.onap.org/r/gitweb?p=dmaap/buscontroller.git;a=commit;h=66babf21bfc92ab0b522284ca8435a1faafffafc)

Hi Dmaap Team,

I'm deploy ONAP Beijing release using Heat template but container
(/onap/dmaap/buscontroller:1.0.12) is always failing because of a password
issue.
The Error log is:
2018-11-26 02:55:04,044||main|||DCAE||ERROR|||Exception java.io.IOException:
Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect
2018-11-26 02:55:04,045||main|||DCAE||ERROR|||possibly unable to use keystore
etc/keystore with passwords Perish the thought and Perish the thought
2018-11-26 02:55:04,047||main|||DCAE||ERROR|||Unable to start Jetty
etc/dmaapbc.properties

I don't know if DCAE has something to do with this but DCAE does can pass
healthcheck.
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Harry
