Re: [Oorexx-devel] Jenkins build machine

2022-01-25 Thread P. O. Jonsson
2.319 was offered by Jenkins. Now when we are up to speed we might just go for
2.320

I did the update by replacing the “jar” file this is NOT recommended it wipes
all plugins

There must be a better way but I did not look for it, if you have the time
please go ahead and update it

Re: [Oorexx-devel] Jenkins build machine

2022-01-25 Thread Erich Steinböck
Hi P.O.,
I've just updated all plug-ins - so we should be clean now.

The only plug-in which has a newer version is "Pipeline: Job", but this
newer version needs Jenkins 2.320, while we're on 2.319.
Why did we go for 2.319?
Jenkins now doesn't seem to show an update notice for Jenkins itself (to
2.320 or newer)

[Oorexx-devel] Jenkins build machine

2022-01-25 Thread P.O. Jonsson
The Jenkins build machine has been updated, but there is a large number of
plugins that are either not working or have security issues.

I have installed a plugin „Plugin Usage“ that can be found in the left column
in the dashboard. As of tomorrow I will start removing all plugins that are
listed as not being used (most are). If you know you are using a special plugin
please have a look and check that it is correctly recognized by the Usage
statistics.

[Oorexx-devel] ooRexx Build Machine: New Virtual machines

2013-12-04 Thread David Ashley
All -

I added RHEL 6.5 (i386 and x86_64) to the Build Machine last night and
it produced the first nightly builds this morning. I will be adding Mint
16 (i386 and x86_64) over the next day or so.

Also, the SLES 11 x86_64 VM is down for now. It has a problem I am
trying to fix but I may need to recreate it to get it working again.

Using the new techniques I have reduced the total nightly build time
from 5.5 hours to about 3.75 hours. This means I will be able to support
a lot more virtual machines. So if you have suggestions.needs please let
me know and I will try to work your request in.

Oh, and I am going to implement a general policy concerning the number
of versions of an OS I support. I want to limit the number of versions I
support to four. This means that I will only support the current and
three previous versions of an OS. There will be some exceptions to this
rule but those will be exceptions and not the general case. If you have
a problem with this policy please let me know and we can see about an
exception.

[Oorexx-devel] Can build machine do some Linux 4.1.3 beta builds?

2013-06-03 Thread Mark Miesfeld
Hi David,

Is it possible to have the build machine produce some Linux 4.1.3 beta
builds? When you have some time.

I could produce some Fedora, SuSE, Debian, and Kubuntu builds, but
unfortunately I haven't keep the systems up-to-date and all the OS versions
are very old.

I will try to produce a few builds each night this week. Since the build
machine can produce 40 different builds now it will take a few nights to
get through them all :-) maybe I will write a script instead.

I actually was going to produce a few this past weekend but I got busy
and never got around to it.

April 21 for 24 to 48 hours. I am changing over from ATT DSL to ATT
U-verse and it will take a little time to reconfigure the server and
change the IP address on the DNS. I will send a note out when it is back
up but be aware that it may take some time for the new IP address to
filter down to all the DNS Servers.

[Oorexx-devel] More Build Machine VMs

2010-10-13 Thread David Ashley
  All -

Now that I have the Ubuntu 10.10 VMs working I will add RHEL 5.5 VMs tonight.
This should bring the total number of builds to 22 per night.

I am still working on the Windows 7 VMs. It's taking a little longer than I
thought to get them working.

[Oorexx-devel] ooRexx Build Machine Upgrade

2009-11-10 Thread David Ashley
All -

During the week of Thanksgiving here in the US (week of Nov 23) I am
planning to upgrade the Build Machine to the latest version of Fedora
12. Fedora 12 should GA on Nov 17 and if it does then I will upgrade the
server, if not then I will delay until the Christmas holidays.

Obviously the server will be off-line during this time. Will this impact
anyone adversely? If so please let me know.

Thanks,

[Oorexx-devel] ooRexx Build Machine Available

2009-09-02 Thread David Ashley
All -

After more struggles with ATT the build machine is now available again.
There is, however, something you should know. Any attempt to ping the
build machine will fail. This is because my subnet has been changed to a
routed subnet off of the ATT network. Thus a ping will fail and a
traceroute command will stop at the last ATT router. But you can still
successfully reach the build machine via your browser or via ssh.

Please let me know if anything happens to the machines visibility to
your browser or ssh.

Oh yes, the VMs are all up but I think there is a problem with the WinXP

[Oorexx-devel] The build machine

2008-07-18 Thread Mark Miesfeld
On Windows, trunk builds and the interpreter is relatively stable. I
am building the installer package on my system without any problems.

On the build machine, the Windows build fails and there is no log
output or e-mail generated. I fixed the build yesterday so it builds
fine using Visual C++ 6.0. So that is not the problem.

Can we get that fixed? Or, is it just not working because David is
migrating to the new site he posted yesterday?

The Fedora and Docs build works perfectly. The Ubuntu build always
produces this message (since late last night):

 Downloads Build ooRexx
RexxLA
Valid HTML 4.01!
Valid CSS!
Build ooRexx Interpreter 3.x

The background process is currently busy performing a build.

The current time at the server is 18 Jul 2008 08:41:38 .

So I suspect that the Ubuntu VM may just be hung.

Ok, there are two problems with the Windows build.

1. The build cannot locate some of the docs so it aborts the build.

You can specify DOC_LOCATION either as an environment variable or on
the command line. If you created a static location in the Windows VM
and put a set of docs there, set DOC_LOCATION to point to that static
location then the build would never fail.

If you wanted to get really fancy, you could add a step to the Docs
build to always copy the finished files to that static location. Then
anytime the Docs were built, the static location would be updated with
the latest docs.
