[OPEN-ILS-DEV] Staff Client on Windows 2000?

2008-12-10 Thread Uhlman, Brandon EDUC:EX
Hi, all.

Is anybody running the Evergreen staff client on Windows 2000? Have you noticed
any performance issues, compared to Windows XP, Vista, Linux, etc?

If Evergreen's already got a perl Date module loaded, then it makes
sense for me to use that one.

It looks like there's a dependency on DateTime. is that right, and is
it the only one?

Yep, we use DateTime (and it's associated modules) extensively for Perl.
I believe that's the only one.

Hey all,
It's cold and snowy here!

Where do I go to do this?
disable automatic record deletion using an org_unit setting

Hi Grand,

I believe that's referring to not deleting a bib record when all
attached items/call-numbers are being deleted?

If so, you can set an org_unit setting called cat.bib.keep_on_empty.
For now, you'll have to do that directly in the database.

BTW, I've added these two settings to the library settings editor for 1.4
and beyond.
