Why not have the confirmation appear inline, next to the link? (It could fade away after several seconds.) This is a fairly common pattern in web apps, though less common in desktop applications. The advantage is that it would provide confirmation without requiring an additional mouseclick.

Hi all! I recently found that our system was giving a 1 day grace period on fines. I checked through the Library Settings editor and the recurring fine rules and found that the company that (partially) set up our system did have a one day grace period built in to all our recurring fine rules.

Title: Sincerely, I think this sounds like the ultimate solution for those who do not like the extra click. It just makes no sense to me (or staff here) to click on something and have nothing happen, so we end up clicking several extra times anyway. I just think there needs
