I am hoping that someone may be able to help me with this. One of our
customers needs to be able to distinguish between holds placed via the
opac and holds placed by library staff.
We have spent considerable time looking at options within reports but so
far not having much success.
I don't know what you mean by staff hold flag, honestly, because I
don't know of any such flag.
Staff-placed holds can be identified by the usr is not the requestor.
The usr field is who the hold was placed for. The requestor is who
placed the hold. If they are the same then the user placed

I think I've played with the program you've described, it ran on my
Macbook, but cost money so I didn't get as far as I would have liked.
It probably stores basic item information (simple stuff like title,
author, etc.) in a non-MARC format of some kind if it's generating data
