Dymo labels do fade over time, but you can buy special non-fading labels. We like the 450's, but sometimes label tracking in the printer can get off. Make sure the sides on the spindle are as tight to the roll of labels as you can get it ('squeeze the snot out of it', I tell our librarians) and it

Mark, can you send the specifics about the Non-fading labels? We find that the Dymo labels do fade if they are in direct sunlight for an extended period of time. If the item is shelved where it gets no sunlight, then they are great, and will last. But the ones that are next to windows,

The stock paper thermal labels for the Dymo LabelWriter 400 do fade very quickly, sometimes in a matter of months in my experience. We cover them with a clear UV label protector which seems to alleviate this issue -- however, take this with a grain of salt, because my particular library is
