Re: iscsid not starting.
This should be fixed in the next version. It appears it was a bug in how iscsid/iscsiadm setup the socket they use to communicate to each other. For the version check failure you would get a error logged to /var/log/messages in newer versions. Re: iscsid not starting.
I got the same message, and I think it comes from the version of iscsi_tcp is not fit to the iscsid version. check the version by: # cat /sys/module/scsi_transport_iscsi/version to me, fortunately, I killall iscsid and then restart it. It works! nithink...@gmail.com於 2008年2月1日星期五UTC+8上午3時19分04秒寫道: > > i running 2.6.22-14-generic kernel ubuntu gutsy. > > i have installed open-iscsi > apt-get install open-iscsi > > lsmod list all the required iscsi modules > scsi_transport_iscsi.ko, libiscsi.ko and iscsi_tcp.ko > > when i run iscsid -f -d 8 the following is the output : > iscsid: transport class version 2.0-724. iscsid version 2.0-865 > iscsid: Can not bind IPC socket > iscsid: iscsid_exit > iscsid: in ctldev_close > > grep iscsi /var/log/messages has the following output. > Feb 1 00:20:48 venus kernel: [ 46.154808] iscsi: registered > transport (tcp) > Feb 1 00:20:48 venus kernel: [ 46.207914] iscsi: registered > transport (iser) > > what did i forget? > > -nithind -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "open-iscsi" group.
