Job Title: Sr. Software Test Engineer 

Location:  Minneapolis, MN

Duration:  12 months

 


Summary: This position will be responsible for writing and maintaining 
white box tests, design-based tests (DBT) and unit tests as well as 
creating associated documentation. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Perform critical evaluation of 
software requirements, designs, and implementation. Identify design 
weakness and come up with effective test coverage accordingly. 
2) Provide early technical feedback to developers and cross functional team 
members. 
3) Develop test strategy to cover software designs by using various testing 
methodologies like white box testing and unit testing. 
4) Perform unit testing, integration testing, and other testing to 
thoroughly test out software design and implementation. 
5) Identify defects during the daily testing activities and manage the 
defect fixing cycle until they are resolved. 
6) Participate in development and validation of in-house or Off-the-Shelf 
testing tools. 

Qualifications: 1) Ability to work as a collaborative team member. 
2) Good communication skills with other team members (including cross 
functional team). Ability to discuss encountered technical or project 
management issues, both verbally and in written form 
3) Be passionate about software quality and be prepared to advocate on 
behalf of good processes and best practices. 
4) Firm understanding of C++ development, including pointers, Template 
classes, best C++ practices, design patterns, etc. 
5) A solid technical understanding of the principles and procedures of 
software engineering (e.g., SDLC, IEC 62304, CMMI, Agile). 
6) Experience with embedded or application software development. 
7) Experience with test regression. 
8) Desired: Experience with unit tests tools / techniques (e.g. VectorCAST 
/ LDRA) is strongly preferred 
9) Desired: Experience with medical device software engineering disciplines 
(e.g., software development environments, configuration management tools, 
code inspection techniques and tools, testing methods and test management 
tools). 
Background and/or Experience: B.S. in Computer Science, Computer 
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field 
and 5-10 year related experience.

I need two Software Test Engineer with C# development for our client
Thomson Reuters in Eagan, MN. This is a testing role but must have the
development exp. Selenium is also used a lot in this environment.

These are testing roles that will have a development piece to it. The
development is not for developing the application but instead is used for
testing it. We need candidates that have and can test at the C# endpoint
level. I will look at developers who are willing to be testers.

*Minimum Qualifications:*



§  A four-year degree in Computer Science or other related field.

§  5+ years of software testing and/or software development experience.

§  2+ years of working with *Oracle Utilities* and *SQL Schemas*.

§  2+ years of *Java Development* experience

§  Strong *XML* and *DTD/Schema* background

§  1+ years of experience working with *Selenium Library*

§  Experience with *Linux*

§  Software testing and/or software development experience working with
enterprise applications developed using various technologies (*J2EE, REST,
Endpoint Dev/Testing, AJAX, etc.).*

§  Experience using *Team Foundation Server* for source control, defect
management, and workflow management.

§  Knowledge and/or experience with the software tools and techniques used
in automated testing (e.g., *Silk Test, QTP*) or other process automation.

§  Experience successfully leading large-scale projects that includes
communication and collaboration across Development and Testing teams and
interfacing with the Business.

§  Collaborative leadership style and a strong commitment to continuous
improvement.
