No major setbacks, no major jumps forward, just steady progress
Our current goal is to have a humanoid robot with basic
common-sensical sentience regarding itself and its environment within
3 years ... and a full human adult level AGI within 9 years
According to my best judgment we are on
Hi All,
Trying to read through the knowledge.scm file that is supposed to, in some
ways, embody the internal-model for chatbot-eva.
Naturally, I have some very basic questions. It'd be nice to understand
what exactly the following nodes do or represent:
- DefinedSchema,
- Inheritance vs.
Hi,
I was just wondering if there is any revisions to the estimate of the
timeline to achieving General Intelligence. Any major setbacks or jump
forwards?

I added a lot more detail to the "Link parse to logic via Lojban" page ...

It's only moderately easy reading for those who aren't familiar with
Lojban, because the Lojban will look weird. But once you get past
that, it's pretty simple...
I hope you guys are filing patents or public disclosure on EVERYTHING.

Thanks Linas and Nil,
Yeah, I'm looking forward to the documentation. I'm also looking forward to
reaching the point when PLN can be applied to parsed sentences to solve
parsed questions, because so far the examples I've seen only work on
handmade facts in scheme.

Tareq, I think it is months away, because first Nil needs to finish
some technical stuff in the backward chainer, and THEN he has to make
scalable inference control work for PLN via doing pattern mining on
inference histories... the latter won't be easy and help with that
would be valued if anyone

Linas, wonderful step forward. It is so pleasing to see the small surgical
team ahead of the massive corporate armies. Keep running the wolf packs
will get organized eventually. The more you put in the public domain the
less they can enclose and control.

No patents are being filed on this stuff, but it's pretty clearly
being publicly disclosed on the Internet in our wiki site and our
Github repo...
I don't think anyone's gonna steal a wacky idea like this one ...
nobody outside a small circle will have interest in it till after it's
implemented
