Hildegard McNicoll, one of our key community members and the wife of Ian McNicoll passed away on Sunday 21 October after a short episode of pneumonia related to her breast cancer recurrence. In fact she had many happy months since her latest diagnosis and commencement of chemotherapy, which performed well.
Those of you who knew her will remember a wonderful woman with a discerning mind, endless drive and an impish sense of humour, who wasted no time in 'getting on with life'. Her presence in openEHR training, education and other activities will be sorely missed, but her attitude to life and work will remain as an inspiration for us to 'get on with it' as well.
