I fully agree in error on these situations and providing a workaround
solution for old host systems seems perfect. This would clean a good amount
of legacy code and I also agree it is the way to go. So count me as a

think every BSP which
has specific patches on top of U-Boot mainline should handle it on the
BSP so I see no reason to keep all those, I am all for updating to
2013.07.
As I said, we're using it in meta-fsl-arm for some time.

base.bbclass had code which handled the PNBLACKLIST in case of
multilib use. This is better to be done in the blacklist.bbclass so it
has all logic in a single place.
