JDK-8136838 introduced new public API, and is a P4 bug, so no it will
not be backported to JDK 8.
If you think there is a specific part of this fix that could be isolated
into a new bug report, then we could consider it, but the bar is pretty
high for JDK 8u backports.

Looking at https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8150946 , it seems to
be fixed in 9 but not in 8. The similar JDK-8136838 (
https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8136838) was backported to 8 , but
it seems the spinner behavior of not saving values on focus lost still
exists in 8.
